Hellfare Taxi

[Hellfare Taxi] is a C-Class ghost story used by Kim Soleum to escape [■■■ 16th Avenue]'s Death Lane. The fare is determined by the taxi operator's interest in the customer's conversational topics; going underneath 30,000 means no permanent damage, while anything higher likely results in a deadly curse. There are four drivers, each representing one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse: Conquest, War, Famine, and Death.

The taxi is typically a black luxury sedan of German make. While the model varies with each call, it can be identified by its scarlet taxi sign and the golden inverted cross ornament hanging from the rearview mirror. The less interested the driver became in the passenger, the faster the vehicle would move and the meter would climb. Passengers are cursed with a curse equivalent to the meter amount when they disembark. All taxis arrive precisely on time, unaffected by speed.

History

Kim Soleum used [Hellfare Taxi] to escape [■■■ 16th Avenue]'s Death Lane and, after managing to hit 29,900 points, was given Fare Code 1: Illness, suffering from a cold for three days. One of the drivers later arrives at the Flower Golden Resort of [Cheerful Theme Park!] to relax (Chapter 175).
