Appearance

Curly hair and an innocent appearance. After losing his left eye escaping the Abyss Transpo, he wears a black eyepatch, which he keeps even after replacing the eye. His new left eye is purple with a black sclera.

Personality

Incredibly sly and selfish, willing to sweet-talk, threaten, or betray anybody to ensure his own survival and welfare. Kim Soleum notes he would exploit any opening and ruthlessly attack without hesitation. Despite frequently betraying fellow Daydream Inc. employees, he is surprisingly well-intentioned and caring toward those who don't betray him—even completing favors that don't benefit him, while hiding his kindness behind bitter, angry words.

History

In the original timeline he earns the nickname "Viper" and reaches the rank of Section Chief, holding a total exploration record of 106 (17 special cases) in the *Dark Exploration Records* wiki. He was born in Jisan Village with his older sister; the village unknowingly worshipped the Centipede Sage, a ghost story spreading the teachings of the Church of the Luminous Unknown. The village held festivals for the Centipede Sage and became contaminated with the Church's doctrine, holding an annual festival to pick a "chosen one" enshrined in the village shrine to avert misfortune.

One year his older sister was chosen as the "Fortune of Jisan" and, like the others, hanged herself in the shrine after the festival—her corpse reappearing every year thereafter. Baek Saheon feared the festival but knew fleeing would drive him mad and to hang himself. To avoid being considered a villager, he moved to Seoul, returning only every few months, believing living in Seoul would make him an outsider. He later joined Daydream Inc. alongside Kim Soleum.
